Qualifies Enclosures for Use In Some of the Harshest Weather Conditions Around the Globe
Delta Fabricating today announced that its electrical enclosures have achieved the IP66 rating for ingress protection. In conjunction with the UL and NEMA marks the enclosures already possess, the IP66 rating qualifies Delta’s enclosures for use in some of the world’s harshest conditions. The rating also certifies Delta as a globally-recognized, single source provider of electrical enclosures.
The IP66 achievement comes after rigorous testing by an independent lab, Environ Laboratories, where Delta’s professional grade enclosures were battered for hours with water and dust. The enclosures proved to be “dust tight” and resistant to penetration by “strong hosing jets” of water.
“My customers have long depended on Delta for applications in North America,” said Todd Johnson of Control Assemblies, a Delta partner. “But as their businesses entered markets abroad, it was a real challenge to find IP-rated products that match Delta’s quality and value. This certification will allow us to look to Delta for virtually all of our custom enclosure needs.”
Delta Fabricating, a Lakeland Company, designs and manufactures a wide variety of custom enclosures to protect sophisticated electrical and electronic controls, instruments and components from water, dust, oil and other environmental conditions.
